A European artist in his fifties, for the umpteenth time in his life, experiences gentrification. But this time, instead of leaving, he decides to take action. He organizes a documentary shoot when a fake Banksy artwork appears on the facade of a local bar, an artwork he himself commissioned. The artist invokes the presence of Karl Marx to help him with this narrative.

A group of eight socially isolated individuals live together in a former convent, a place soon to close for renovations. Before leaving, they want to pay homage to the symbol of this place perched on the hills of Marseille's northern districts: a statue of the Virgin Mary with her back to the city.
